5 things to try in Bing's ChatGPT-enabled engine...

On Tuesday, Microsoft announced its new AI-powered search engine, Bing, along with an updated version of its Edge web browser. In its announcement, it noted that its search engine, longtime No. 2 in the search engine market, now has the same AI technology as ChatGPT. With this, the new Bing engine can answer queries in a conversational manner, in addition to providing other features.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella indicated that the new search service aims to respond to inquiries that do not achieve good results in search engines. People are increasingly using search engines to get advice and information on complex topics, not just to get a link to a website. The AI optimization of the Bing engine also aims to make it more usable.

For now, you can sign up for a waiting list to use Bing's new AI-powered service, but it will become widely free to use in the coming months.

Until it's available to everyone, here are 5 things you can try with the AI-powered Bing search engine:

1- Find information:
You can search for information in the Bing search engine as usual, but the new thing is that Microsoft has applied the method that OpenAI uses in the ChatGPT bot to display the information you are looking for, and you will often find better responses to the searches that you will perform in the new Bing search engine.
The artificial intelligence technology used in the new version of Bing supports search results with written summaries that appear on the side of the search page. For example: If you're planning to go on a trip to a specific city, and you start searching for information about that city, the new Bing search results will show you links to sites with information and suggestions about attractions in that city, as well as a sidebar with a summary of the information Of all websites, written by artificial intelligence. The sidebar also contains the resources for that information for your reference and more information.

2- Ask for more details:
If you'd like to ask more questions after your first Bing search, you can click the chat icon near the top on the search page. This way you can improve your search results. In the example of trip planning we mentioned in the previous point, you can request more information about a particular tourist attraction in that city in a chat style or request to coordinate a detailed itinerary with descriptions of places to visit, best times to visit, and other details that you want to know.

3- Write an article or an email:
The new Bing search engine can write you an article, email or story. For example: after searching for tourist places for a specific city and getting details about the trip as we mentioned in the previous point, you can ask Bing to write an email summarizing what you found, and you can edit the text that he wrote before sending it.

You can also ask Bing to write a story on a specific topic, after you give it information about the different elements of the story and then it will generate text for you written in the form of a story. Or ask him to write an article on a specific topic.

4- Search the content of a specific website:
When you use the modern Edge browser, you'll be able to open the Bing sidebar on any website and get more information about what you're looking for online. For example: You can open a product listing on Amazon, then open the sidebar to ask Bing to tell you more information about a product on Amazon. And then it will give you a summary of product specifications, prices and method of use.

You can also ask Bing to show reviews from users of that product, and this will pull quotes from user reviews written on Amazon and show them to you.

5- Ask questions:
If you ever asked a question like: Who are the famous Mexican painters? In a search engine, you are probably aware of the possibility of getting information from a single website, a list of relevant people, and a link to Wikipedia if one is available. But with the use of the new Bing engine, you can ask any question in any field and you will get a written summary explaining the answer to your question with links to sources of information, which you can click to find out more information if you wish.
